Information provided to CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) is collected under the authority of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) to determine admissibility to Canada. Information provided may be shared with other Canadian government institutions such as, but not limited to, the Canadian Border Services Agency (ASFC), the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RPMC), the Canadian Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) , the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), the Department of Employment and Social Development of Canada (ESDC), the Tax Agency of Canada (CRA), provincial and regional governments and foreign governments in accordance with subsection 8 ( 2) of the Privacy Law.
